Outfits for Tennis Season: Ace Your Style

10 April 2025

The three big tennis events of the year are just around the corner: the HSBC Championships at Queens (7 - 22 Jun), Lexus Nottingham (14 - 22 Jun) and, of course, Wimbledon (30 Jun - 13 Jul). Each one is a great opportunity to show off your best summer outfits.

Our go-to rule for choosing a dress for tennis season is to pick either a midi or maxi to protect you from too much sun. Add some sleeves for extra protection, too: it doesn’t hurt to be practical as well as stylish! A natural fabric is the best way forward as the material is breathable and prevents any embarrassing hot-weather marks.

So with those top tips in mind, here are some of our best picks for the upcoming tennis season!

ElinaDea dress

The ElinaDea dress by Dea Kudibal is a completely on-trend piece with its bohemian look. The cotton maxi dress comes in three great patterns, each following a similar shape but with greatly varying patterns so you can select the one that best suits your personality. Inspired by the Art Nouveau era, it’s made of 100% lightweight cotton, with a stand collar and voluminous elbow-length sleeves.

RayanaDEA dress

Another beautiful cotton maxi dress from Dea Kudibal, the RayanaDEA features a repeating Paisley pattern print in blush tones. This dress has full-length sleeves with some slight volume and pretty lace detailing. Feminine touches include a tied waist, tiered skirt and gentle frilling.

SalmaDEA dress by Dea Kudibal

SalmaDEA dress

Spectacular and unique, Dea Kudibal’s SalmaDEA dress is 100% fine linen so absolutely ideal for those hot summer days. It has three-quarter-length sleeves and a contrast-print fabric belt to add shape. But the real standout part of this lovely dress is the pattern, an intricate antique etching of a desert landscape. Just stunning!

Cannes dress by Rails

Cannes dress

The Cannes dress is a quintessential summer dress that’s reminiscent of day trips on the French Riviera. Crafted by Rails, the blue linen blend has a lovely striped pattern with a tier skirt in a midi length. Wide, short sleeves add to the floaty look, while a ruched waist creates a shapely silhouette.

Haze dress

A shirt dress is always a winner in our opinion, and the Haze dress by Essentiel Antwerp truly is fabulous. Designed in a pale blue and white stripe cotton, it has eye-catching white lace panelling on the sleeves, across the chest, and up the side. Wear it loose for an oversized look, or make use of the tie belt to add shape. You’ll turn heads either way.

Mila dress

Wow! You’ll certainly get yourself noticed in the Mila dress with its balloon sleeves, blue and white stripe pattern, and plunging neckline. Altogether, they make a very flattering silhouette and the longer length of both the sleeves and the skirt make this ideal for watching the tennis in hot weather.

Noddy dress

Hanging loosely from the body and made from 100% linen, the summery Noddy dress by Palm Noosa is a perfectly cool and relaxed dress for summer. A buttery yellow base is covered in large polka dots and hydrangea blooms, with blouson sleeves that look effortlessly relaxed. The piece is finished off with a button down front and matching buckled belt.

Alba dress

Embroidery is such a big hit right now and Sacrecoeur has a design that’s bound to make the most of the trend. The Alba dress has a brightly contrasting pattern across the chest and skirt. Short sleeves create a butterfly shape while the maxi-length hem skims the ankles, giving you good coverage against the sun. Made of 100% cotton, it’s also nice and light.

Coconut tree flow dress by Farm Rio

Coconut tree flow dress

Bold and beautiful are two words that perfectly describe the Coconut tree flower dress. If you love to make an impact when you walk into a room (or onto the stands), then this is the dress for you. Farm Rio has packed no punches with a vibrant and colourful pattern in tropical shapes and hues. A really joyful style, it features a puff sleeve, v-neckline, and maxi length.

Marla dress by Palm Noosa

Marla dress

Created by Palm Noosa, the nostalgic style of the Marla dress makes us think of traditional Spanish villages and relaxing holidays. The Siesta tile print is colourful and pretty, while plenty of additional interest is included through a removable sash belt, puff sleeves and a button-down front. The fine 100% linen is just the cherry on top.
