A womenswear brand inspired by nature and enriched in Brazilian culture. FARM Rio’s motto, ‘dress in happiness’, is reflected throughout the bold prints and bright colours which makes their tropical pieces so beloved today.

FARM Rio is a clothing and lifestyle business established by two friends in Rio De Janeiro. Starting their journey in 1997 on a small market stand, Kátia Barros and Marcello Bastos quickly sold-out their indie style clothing and realised a dream that Kátia had held for many years. Fast forward 27 years and FARM Rio is now a prominent label across Brazil and a highly successful international business. They house 90 stores in their home city alone, and multiple stores and stockists across the globe. Their popularity is reflected across all its channels, the brand spreads its joy to over one million Instagram followers to date.

Sustainability is at the heart of FARM Rio, the business is passionate about investing back to the city that it originated from. Its founders work with Brazilian designers, artisans, and stylists to develop its famous designs, with 92% female employees making up the business. FARM Rio is a certified B Corporation. By November 2023 the business had planted one million trees with their commitment to plant one tree for every purchase made, subsequently ensuring that the brand is 100% carbon neutral.
