Jeff Abrams, the founder and creative director of Rails Clothing, started the brand in 2008 and wanted to make a line that was a blending of southern California lifestyle with a more refined European aesthetic. He had been living and travelling round Europe on Eurorail, hence the name.
The Hunter Shirt was the defining moment of the brand and over ten years later Rails Clothing is selling in 40 countries and 1200 stores. Fabric innovation is a huge component of the Rails brand and they spend a lot of time developing custom fabrics every season. Whether plaid, stripes or print designs, they want every collection to feel uniquely Rails.
Crucially, Rails shirts don't need ironing, so fit as neatly into the wardrobe of an avid festival goer as they do a school-run-mum.
