Lovely autumn! The days may be shorter and the weather cooler, but the colours are wonderful, and we love to settle in to our cosiest clothing, start pulling out our blankets, and to enjoy hot chocolates. We also love the fashion that comes with autumn and this season it’s just gorgeous.
Here are our top 5 styles for this coming autumn that you’ll want to add to your wardrobe.
Wool is the way to go when the temperature drops and the long Monk coat by Sacrécoeur comes in two gorgeous autumnal colours: tourbe brown and navy blue. It’s an oversized fit with a tailored collar and some volume to the sleeves. This is the ideal everyday layer.
Wide leg jeans have been with us all year, and they’ll still be here throughout autumn – hurray! You can’t go wrong with an item from Paige Jeans and the Leenah in either black shadow or blue Notre Dame is an excellent option: a full-length jean with a bold flare.
Nothing says autumn like when we dust off our roll-neck jumpers and start donning them once again. This style is ideal for adding an extra layer to our outfits. The Aramis jumper by Des Petits Hauts is not only cosy, it’s slick and stylish too, so you get the best of both worlds. It’s slightly shorter to the front, has a ribbed design, and includes long raglan sleeves. Choose from three colours: navy, black and brown.
Floaty and comfy, the autumn season is all about satin slip skirts. The Babe, brought to us by Munthe, is lightweight and elegant. It’s easy to wear with anything and comfortable to boot. Plus, we love that it’s made from environmentally friendly viscose!
Rails Clothing’s Anya skirt is shorter than the Babe and comes in a rich navy colour. Unbelievably stylish, it has a concealed elasticated waistband – easy to pull on – and a midi length. Wear it day or night or to transition inbetween.
You’ll be simply oozing elegance when you don the Giada maxi skirt by Essentiel Antwerp! In two colours – a striking bronze and a luscious navy – this is a full-length showstopper that skims the floor and looks good with everything from chunky jumpers to fitted blazers.
You’ll be seeing little jackets everywhere this autumn, so get one or two unique pieces for your wardrobe to be bang on trend. Start with the Melanie jacket by Rails. In an oatmeal colour, it’s edged with a lovely contrasting wave pattern that really makes an impression on anyone who sees it.
If you need to quickly elevate your look, then pull out the Gouveau cropped jacket! Created by Essential Antwerp, this luscious dark blue number is full of texture with its wool-blend tweed. Glistening rhinestone buttons down the front give it an extra dazzle.
BA&SH has crafted another timeless piece with the Meredith jacket. Totally classy in ecru, it has two breast pockets, a rounded neck and stunning gold buttons. Throw it on with your favourite pair of jeans or a skirt.
Nothing says “snuggle up” quite like the Genz jacket by Essentiel Antwerp. This fluffy piece is absolutely darling and comes in two colours – an understated off-white and a statement-making bright blue. The faux fur is exquisitely soft, and it’s heavyweight to keep you extra warm.
