Outfits for Tennis Season: Ace Your Style

28 May 2026

The three big tennis events of the year are just around the corner: the HSBC Championships at Queens (6 - 21 Jun), the Lexus Nottingham Open (13 - 21 Jun) and, of course, Wimbledon (29 Jun - 12 Jul). Each one is a great opportunity to show off your best summer outfits.

Our usual go-to rule for choosing a dress for tennis season is to pick either a midi or maxi to protect you from too much sun. Add some sleeves for extra protection, too: it doesn’t hurt to be practical as well as stylish! A natural fabric is the best way forward as the material is breathable and reduces the risk of any embarrassing hot-weather marks.

So with those top tips in mind, here are some of our best picks for the upcoming tennis season!

SalmaDEA dress by Dea Kudibal

SalmaDEA dress

Spectacular and unique, Dea Kudibal’s SalmaDEA dress is 100% fine linen, so absolutely ideal for those hot summer tennis days. It has three-quarter-length sleeves and a contrast-print fabric belt to add shape. But the real standout part of this lovely dress are the patterns - and there are two to choose from! The empire is an intricate antique-style etching of a tropical print while the sky goes all-out for bold florals. Just stunning!

Siren dress by Palm Noosa

Siren dress

You can rely on Palm Noosa to provide effortless style with big, bold prints, and the Siren dress is no exception. This short-sleeved maxi dress is crafted in a premium cotton poplin and covered in a green botanical design that’s ideal for the summer season. The Siren is buttoned through at the front and the top is finished with contrast piping. An adjustable D-ring belt, structured point collar and slightly A-line skirt give this piece its smart shape.

Roza dress by Rails

Roza dress

Feminine and floaty, the Roza by Rails is a really pretty midi-length dress with a dainty blue floral print. Designed with a V-neckline, flutter sleeves, front buttons and adjustable waist ties, it also has a tiered, fully lined skirt for effortless movement. It has short sleeves, though your shoulders are still covered from the sun, and looks lovely with a pair of strappy kitten heels.

Nanny dress by brand Munthe

Nanny dress

The Nanny dress by Danish brand Munthe is just what you need for the summery tennis season. It has a midi-length with wide, elbow-length sleeves to offer both coverage and coolness. This design has a full button closure as well as a tie belt at the waist for extra shape. But the most notable feature is the wonderful abstract floral print in all shades of blue.

Beaux dres by Rails

Beaux dress

Okay, we’ve slightly broken our own rules here by choosing the sleeveless Beaux dress. But one glance at it and you won’t blame us: the tomato red maxi dress is a real stunner! Made from softly structured linen, it has an elasticated empire waist and a single-tiered skirt that floats all the way down to your ankles. A ruffled v-neckline adds the final lovable flourish.

Nancie top and the Fabert trousers by Munthe

Nancie top and Fabert trousers

Of course, tennis style isn’t all about the dresses, and we can’t resist a good trouser suit like this one, crafted by Munthe. Combining the silk Nancie top and the Fabert trousers, this look is a real delight. Both items feature an artistic print with botanical elements and sculptural motifs that draw your eye and entice you to look closer.

This outfit offers near full coverage with its long trouser leg and loose three-quarter-length sleeves. It’s a relaxed fit and cool to the touch, so you’ll stay fresh even under the pressure of central court battles.

Paola skirt and Emilius shirt by Louise Misha

Paola skirt and Emilius shirt

And talking of sets, we love a skirt and shirt combo too. The Paola skirt and Emilius shirt form a matching set in ivory that features colourful floral embroidery. The amount of embroidery is just right, adding a head-turning feature to this outfit without overdoing it. The shirt has elbow-length sleeves, a tailored collar and front button fastening. It’s a relaxed fit with a slightly longer back so there are no embarrassing flashings if you need to bend down.

The skirt is ankle-length and a petticoat style in a straight A-line shape, without too much fuss. The frayed bottom edge adds a final touch of additional texture to this lovely outfit.

Hilo mini dress by Farm Rio

Hilo mini dress

Another rule-breaker, but such a sweet dress that we’ll let it slide. Farm Rio’s Hilo mini dress is a playful piece with a short skirt and a high neckline. Puffed sleeves add an extra fun touch, while the vibrant floral stripe pattern in yellow, sand and lilac is so, so summery. The dress closes with centre front buttons and has a matching belt with a circular, raffia-type buckle. We can just see ourselves cheering on the players wearing this cute dress.
