We’ve got a fabulous selection of warm winter coats and puffer jackets this season with some show stopping styles from some of our favourite northern European brands. Here are our top 5.
Look no further than the Laos fur lined coat from Bellerose, the long established Belgian brand based in Antwerp. We’ve got a choice of three colours this season and we particularly like the olive with the off-white lining. It’s the perfect city to countryside coat; pitch side coat for those of you who watch sport and cool girl throw on for those cooler days. It’s an oversized take on a parka with a cosy fur lining, pretty much suits all the shapes and it’s true to size.
The second warm winter coat we’d recommend is a classic from Stand Studio which is a Swedish fashionista brand and it’s called the Camille coat. We’ve run it for a few seasons now and it never fails to offer a stylish, trendy equally classic look. It finishes around the knee, depending on your height. With a luxe faux fur texture, this season it is available in two classic colours – mole brown (a dark taupe) and moss green (more like a forest green). Definitely go down a size and you won’t be disappointed with this classic investment piece.
The third warm winter coat is a real showstopper and it’s from one of our favourite brands Essentiel Antwerp called the Cry Teddy coat. It comes in two colour options and it’s absolutely fabulous! The two-colour options are camel and red or purple and off-white. You are guaranteed to be bang on trend, keep warm and stop traffic. It’s a classic cape and it finishes around your knee or just over. It’s very oversized so we think you need to go down two sizes and we’ve only bought small and extra small.
If you’re in the market for a ladies puffer coat we have two great options. The first being the fabulous Day Birger et Mikkelsen Nova coat which we absolutely rate as a first class puffer coat with it’s recycled polyester lining and long silhouette to give you full coverage when it’s cold. It has a very clever design with snappers on the side and a double zip, so very practical if you’re getting in and out of cars or moving around. But at the same time it’s got a trendy silhouette. We particularly love the khaki with the bright orange lining. It’s also got great features which include a cuff with a practical thumb hole and a tie waist. Of course it has a detachable hood which is very practical. It’s really what you need when it gets cold and Day Birger et Mikkelsen really know how to make great puffer coats!
If you want to be on trend, look no further than the Baum und Pferdgarten Delara coat in a shiny black quilted design and it’s seventies inspired collar. It’s got a signature scandi design curved hem and side pockets and a zip front. It’s a great twist on a classic black puffer.
