Whether you’re celebrating a traditional Valentine’s day, getting the ladies together for a Galentine’s celebration, or treating yourself to some self-care, we’ve got some perfect love-themed Valentine's Day outfits to match your 14th of February plans.
Nothing says Valentine’s nostalgia quite like a packet of Swizzles’ Love Heart sweets. Do you remember giving one to your crush and hoping that they’d understand your subtle flirting? Well, the wonderful Love jumper from Jumper 1234 is just as cute and flirty. The navy and cream striped pattern is a favourite style, but the addition of a pink Love Heart sweet on each elbow adds a dollop of extra fun.
Figer knitted jacket
Pink is the perfect colour to wear on Valentine’s Day, and the Figer knitted jacket in its pink zebra-stripe pattern will keep you warm enough on those chilly February days. Essentiel Antwerp’s bold coat is double breasted with a preppy notched collar and an oversized fit. Wear it buttoned up or open and loose for two different looks.
Ginza stripe cardigan
The crocheted multi-coloured Ginza cardigan from Dawn X Dare is the perfect piece to throw on top of any casual Valentine’s outfit. For a romantic walk in the park or stroll along the seafront, it’ll keep you warm while maintaining the theme of the day. The Bolero-style jacket brings a fabulous 80s look with its wide sleeves and puffed shoulders. Hand-knitted in Italy, each piece is subtly unique.
The Guspa cardgian is all about sophistication while maintaining a sweet nod to romance through its lovely pink colour. Made by ba&sh, the textured knit creates plenty of interest, and the mid-length sleeves helps remind us that spring is on its way. A rounded neck and bold gold buttons wrap up this great top. Wear it over a blouse to work, or on its own in the evening.
If pink isn’t your thing, but you still want an element of romance and drama in your Valentine’s Day outfit, then take a peek at the Erina top from Stella Nova. In two colours - navy and creme brulee - this elegant shirt has a stitched floral pattern on a sheer base, with a stand-out pussy bow that can be tied in a grand flourish at the neck.
Genova stripe jumper
Dawn X Dare is all about the stripes this season, and we’re just as obsessed. The Genova jumper is simply adorable, with a multi-coloured array of shades in a mix that’s unique thanks to their being hand-knitted from leftover yarn. The long sleeves and crew neck will keep you warm, and the process of reusing makes this Valentine’s option kind to the environment, too.
The bougainvillier-pink Rosie bag by Bellerose is a great stand-out accessory to add to a neutral outfit. The flexible item can be worn over your shoulder, across your chest or around your waist - just choose which suits you best. Keep all your bits and pieces - cash, keys, phone - in this handy bag instead of weighing down your pockets or carrying them in your hand. There’s even room for a couple of Valentine’s chocolates!
Match it with the Rosie bag or wear it on it’s own, the Samny belt is the colourful way to add a pop to your trousers. Made from hair on leather, there’s a slight sparkle to the piece, and we love it with our favourite pair of jeans. It’s a classic nod to Valentine’s day that’s both bright and fun.
Fowl Dotted socks
How cute are the Fowl dotted socks from Essentiel Antwerp? Pretty and pink, these are an excellent choice if you want to celebrate Valentine’s with your outfit without being too conspicuous about it. The pale pink background with large red polka dots can offer a cheeky peek under an unassuming pair of trousers.
Of course, we couldn’t have a full Valentine’s day outfit without some stunning jewellery, and we’ve got just the piece to elevate any outfit. The romantic Alisia earrings from Caroline Svedbom are everything you could want from your jewellery: quality, classy and with plenty of sparkle. Pop these in and you’ll be ready to shine!
