In the summer you basically just need a decent pair of summer jeans and a decent summer short. This is exactly what we recommend from our three denim brands: Frame Jeans, AG, and Paige Jeans.
When it comes to denim summer shape, I would recommend the Anessa in roam from Paige (£260). What we love about this is its wide leg and raw hem. It’s so easy to wear with trainers, heels or a flip flop and is a lovely denim blue. These are true to size and have a bit of a 70s vibe.
Alternatively, if you don’t like that wide style and raw hem, then we’d recommend the Paige Stella crop (£260). This is a more fitted shape with a high rise style and in a lighter colour called seawater. The denim jean looks great slightly turned up.
Or are you after a different colour altogether for your summer denim wardrobe? Then how about a white boyfriend style from the brand AG? Called the Ex-Boyfriend Slim, they’re £230 and - vitally - aren’t see-through! We thoroughly recommend them.
Also from AG is the trendy wider leg in a light blue. This look - called the Wide Boyfriend - has just arrived and is £230. It has a raw hem and gives more of an 80s nod to your look. This is one of the trendiest jean shapes we have.
If the wide boyfriend is too long for you then we recommend you try the Le Jane Crop Raw Afer (£235) from one of our favourite denim brands, Frame. They’re similar washes and the Le Jane has a raw edge hem so you can cut it to the length you want as well. This jean in the colour lustre will bring your look bang up-to-date with its light wash and 80s vibe.
Finally, let’s go back to denim blue. The Le High Straight in the colour sanctuary is a deep shade with a raw hem. You can’t go wrong with this jean from Frame, which is £215. With its lovely blue wash it’s always a best seller.
In terms of shorts, don’t look any further than the Dani short (£195) from Paige, which we highly recommend. We have bought these shorts in three colours to give you the choice of blue, black, or white. They will see you right through the summer months.
Finally, a Paige jumpsuit is the perfect denim to dress up in! We recommend either the Carly jumpsuit in the Jensen wash for £315, which has just arrived, or the Anessa jumpsuit for £290 in quartz sand. You can wear these for a smarter look, but they fit equally well for running around town in the daytime. We like clothes that work hard for us!
These jumpsuits are an investment piece, and we thoroughly recommend them. Many of us at Feather & Stitch have a few of these staples in our wardrobes.
