There’s no quicker way to lift your mood and update your look this spring than purchasing a new, fresh, long sleeve blouse from some of our favourite Scandi and French designers.
The oh so popular Josalina blouse from Danish brand Munthe has already been rebought twice! At £199 it’s turquoise and red print on a navy base is a fabulous match with some Paige Anessa raw hem jeans. It’s pretty embroidery anglaise base gives it a feminine touch. Easy to wear with most denim, it has a button at the top which can easily be opened into a flattering v-neck, and a side tuck into your denim is probably the most flattering way to wear this straight hem blouse.
The French brand Des Petits Hauts are well known for their playful prints and the Milo print in the Sibette blouse is the perfect combination of polkadots and bright motifs dotted all over. The washed black base looks great with any black trouser or denim. We recommend the Paige Mayslie Jogger in black as an easy pair of jeans to throw on with this long sleeve blouse. It can be worn in or out, but we prefer to do a little tuck at the side to give your waist some shape. If you like this print as much as we do, there’s also two other dresses and a jumpsuit available. We can’t believe it’s only just arrived and already selling really well.
The oh so popular Line blouse from Dea Kudibal is available in three prints as we wanted to give you lots of choice. It’s hard to choose between the small paisley on a crisp white base or the cornflower blue or the pretty fuchsia! With its small stand collar and frill shoulder and three-quarter length sleeve, this blouse is really going to see you through the spring summer season. Made from 100% crisp cotton we highly recommend this style, and we suggest pairing it with some Paige Mayslie straight jeans in the Mel wash. What we also love about this blouse is it does work on all bust sizes as it has a three-quarter length placket which can be buttoned up or left open and has pretty pleating at the top of the chest and back. Which print is your favourite?
If you’re looking for something a little quirkier and fashion forward, choose the Instagrammers favourite brand Stella Nova’s Nura Lee top which has just arrived in from Copenhagen. It’s hard to choose between the ecru or the black base, they’re both fabulous and will instantly bring you up to date. They’ve taken the top half of a bestselling dress and made it into a blouse. It really works and is the best combination of print and texture and all-round fun fashion. It has a tie round the neck, scalloped detail around the shoulders, chest and cuff, and a fabulous eye-catching print. Why not team with the cropped wide leg Anessa in roam from Paige.
Finally, if in doubt always turn to Ba&sh for a go-to blouse. Their style is always on point, and we love this new drop that has just arrived, including the Amedee blouse in pretty summer colours of reds, lilacs, oranges, greens, it really will brighten up your look. As so many of their blouses have, it has a flattering ¾ length sleeve and will suit all bust shapes as it’s a button through which can easily be opened up or buttoned to the neck. We suggest tucking it in.
All these designers have many more styles to choose from. It was hard to choose our top five long sleeve blouses for spring, but we have more deliveries arriving every week, so keep checking the website or come into our boutique in Richmond and have a browse!
