Dresses for Wimbledon: Ace your style

May 2023

My personal rule for Wimbledon is that you should wear a midi or maxi dress which covers your shoulders in case you are sitting in the Sun. I’m being very practical here!  Also, I think a natural fabric is the best way forward when sitting in the Sun as they are breathable. So I have chosen 7 dresses for Wimbledon that are made from either cotton, linen or silk. All of which are from two of my favourite designers : Pink City Prints and Dea Kudibal.

I have three suggestions from the fabulous British brand, Pink City Prints. I'm slowly building a collection of their fabulous dresses each season, as I simply love the brand! They are made from a high quality organic cotton, which sits comfortably on the body.

Cindy Dress

First up is their Cindy dress in the Alpine Print. This dress is a lovely edition to your wardrobe especially if you have a smaller bust. It has an elasticated bust section, which is not too tight but will slightly accentuate your bust while also having a pretty delicate frill sleeve and hem which sits on a  lovely crisp white base. It’s Just perfect for a day at the tennis with its blue and red printed flowers. I would personally love to wear this with my Swedish clogs, trainers or metallic Birkenstocks.  The Cindy dress will make you the most fashionable person on Henman Hill!

Abigail Dress

My second choice from Pink City Prints is the green Abigail dress in Jaipur Daisy which is brand-new this week. Again, it has an elasticated bust, but this time a longer sleeve, which can be pushed up as it has an elasticated cuff. The slightly open back and big bow that ties at the neck detailing adds a gorgeous feminine twist on the dress. If you wear your hair up, it will really emphasise the back detailing, whilst also still being able to wear a bra, Bonus! Again, this is probably suited to someone with a small to medium size bust. The dress is true to size and all Pink City Prints dresses have pockets which we love!

Maria Dress

My third choice is the Maria dress in pink city stripe. Oh how I wish I had bought more stock… as they are selling fast and have only just arrived!  It is the perfect dress for ALL body shapes. It’s V-neck neckline with a versatile waist that can be worn tied or loose as well as also being midi length so it really is suitable for everyone. It has a three-quarter length sleeve and again it’s made out of this beautiful crisp cotton on a white base, but this time with a pretty coral and green floral stripe design. It is absolutely gorgeous, so be quick and get one yourself for Wimbledon and all your summer events after then!

These Pink City Print dresses are ranging from £180 to £195 and are affordable and are great investment pieces in my opinion.

Dea Kudibal is a Danish brand which specialises in gorgeous flowing fabrics which move with your body. Making you always look and feel your best!

Riviera My Dress

If you’re interested in a linen midi dress, then I can suggest the Riviera My Dress from Dea Kudibal, one of my favourite Danish brands. I recommend you wear nude underwear as it is 100% linen. It has a set in sleeves and pockets with a gorgeous large floral print in pink and green. The colours are a touch faded to give it a relaxed day look. It has a button front pocket which can be worn done up or open, so it is suitable for all busts.

Abalone Style Dress: Apple green and pink avignon chili print

If silk is more your bag, then I would suggest a very similar v neck shape called the Abalone style from Dea Kudibal in the striking apple green and pink avignon chili print .  This dress does run large so you need to go down to size in this dress. This is a great investment piece and it can be worn with so many different types of footwear from a heel to a flat sandal to a trainer. To give the dress a more contemporary look you can take off the self tie belt the dress comes with and wear a lovely wide leather belt. The quality of Dea Kudibal‘s silk is incredible as she always weaves it with elastin so they’re incredibly comfy to wear as the fabric moves with you. I can highly recommend this style, for Wimbledon and other upcoming summer events you may have!

Abalone Style Dress: Jardin Sky and Fuschia

If you are looking for a cotton version (and more reasonably priced version) of the Abalone style then try the striking : jardin sky and fuchsia dresses. These are fabulous prints which equally fit and flow beautifully, I have the Jardin sky and wear it all the time.

I hope you have found this roundup of Wimbledon dresses helpful, please DM me on Instagram if you have any questions.  I have personally tried all the styles on and can vouch for their fit and quality.
