The Spanish brand Bobo Choses combines a cheerful and fun style with the serious business of sustainability. Using natural and recycled materials in most of their clothing, they continually strive to do better. Partnerships with sustainability consultants like Anthesis has allowed them to create and implement an action plan to address carbon, water and waste reduction.
With all this hard work in the background, the whimsical collection of pieces is even more charming. You can wear them knowing that the joyful patterns and relaxed clothing come with an admirable ethos.
SKALL studio is all about quality over quantity. Slow fashion, natural materials and careful craftsmanship are pillars of the brand, and they even offer free repairs when their classic pieces suffer from wear and tear. SKALL keeps a close eye on their supply chain, with themselves and their main suppliers all GOTS-certified, and they support a number of environmental initiatives such as plastic change and the Ellen Macarthur Foundation for a circular economy.
If this sounds like a sustainable fashion brand you’d like to support, browse their elegant and understated collection.
Farm Rio's designs are inspired by nature itself, so it makes sense that they'd want to protect their muse. They're committed to planting 1,000 trees every day, and have so far donated 1.5 million trees as a result. They're also a certified B-Corp thanks to their ethical and transparent practices.
Their colourful, summery clothing is made from an increasing amount of sustainable materials, they are committed to improving their circularity, and they continue to work on increasing their carbon offsetting.
Who knew that all this could be happening behind the scenes of this beautiful clothing line?
Embracing sustainable production since its conception in 2004, byTiMo celebrates slow fashion and buying items that last. To support this, all of their beautiful pieces are made with quality materials that are sustainably sourced. The viscose is 100% FSC-certified, with three trees planted for every tree used during production. Their cotton, too, is organic and GOTS-certified, and their wool is responsibly sourced. Dye waters are recycled to avoid pollution.
The result is a collection of super pretty dresses, tops and skirts inspired by nature, art, and vintage styles. You’ll find intricate embroidery, playful prints and gorgeous fabrics designed to make you feel confident in pieces you’ll wear for years.
Zero waste is a commitment that Pink City Prints holds themselves to, and what could be more important in today’s era of fast fashion? All their materials are natural, from the organic GOTS-certified cotton to low water-usage linen and handloomed cotton. Then every offcut is reused one way or another, ensuring they don’t end up in landfill. Shipments are carbon offset, packaging is reduced, and they have plans to make their Jaipur unit fully solar-powered.
With their colourful patterns, both Pink City Prints’ pieces and their ethos make you feel brighter just through wearing them!
