F&S is a "treasure trove" says The Telegraph

"Feather & Stitch is a small boutique that’s a treasure trove of off-the-beaten-track pieces. Without even having met her, I can see how much work goes into it by owner Fiona Sanderson. She knows her customers.

Sanderson was fast to adapt to the online shopping boom, ignited by the boredom of lockdowns. Quick thinking paid off. And because the boutique is small, she can be nimble with her buying decisions. “We have a lot more knitwear for the summer season which we’d never normally offer at this time of year but that’s the impact of more staycations.”

Even if her boutique is in the heart of ­Richmond, “around £200” seems to be the sweet spot that her customers are happy to spend (I imagine on a regular basis). The buy is not intimidating, it has a great collection of Scandinavian brands, and the service is hands-on...these boutiques work hard to know their customer base, and I don’t just mean being able to read a long list of data."
